Parachute is the brand name for a line of learning toys and objects of curiosity I have designed. Each object explores the universal way in which play inspires the imagination and enhances learning, and most of the objects in this line are modern twists on classic toys. I chose the word parachute because it evokes discovery and exhilaration.
As (PRODUCT)RED™ has done so successfully for the The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Parachute aims to bring awareness and funds to the 75 million children worldwide who do not have the opportunity or resources to attend primary school. To brand that message I intend to foster a community through objects, packaging and marketing that brings together the education sector, the toy industry, and the design world.
